Classroom Support

For assistance or training related to the use of classroom technology please contact the Office of Information Technology at extension 307.  Corey Wooley, Instructional Technology Coordinator, and Jeremy Schambaugh, Technical Support Analyst, are dedicated to supporting the academic technology needs of the campus.

The use of laptops, wireless networking, and multimedia podiums provide faculty with teaching flexibility.

The Office of Information Technology provides faculty with a wealth of technology resources to enhance their traditional methods of instruction.

A Campus-Wide Wireless Network allows faculty and students access to LSUE online services as well as the Internet from Anywhere on campus.  LSUE hosts the only campus-wide wireless network in the state.

LSUE faculty and staff are on a 3 year PC renewal cycle.  At the time of renewal, faculty and staff have the option of selecting either a desktop PC or a Laptop.  Each laptop is equipped with a wireless network card allowing for complete network access from anywhere on campus.

Smart Classrooms and multi-media podiums allow faculty to easily use technology in the classroom.  This allows the instructor to bring a wealth of materials into the classroom that would not be possible be traditional means.

Online Course Areas are created automatically for each section being taught at LSUE allowing instructors to make online course materials available to students through a simple drag-and-drop interface.  Students access this information through their myLSUE accounts.

To schedule courses in technology enhanced classrooms, instructors should contact their division head or the Registrar's Office to determine availability.
